Born in Zlin, Czechoslovakia. After graduating from a school of industrial arts, I have been an art teacher, a painter, a graphic designer and an illustrator for many years. In 1985 I have emigrated to Canada, with my family, where I continued to work in the graphic arts, and continuing to paint whenever possible, it became for me a necessity.

Since 1992 I devote all my time to painting. I have become a member of the Society for Art of Imagination from London. In 2002 I had my first exhibition with them at Cork Gallery, in Soho, London, England. I have also participated in an Soho International Art Competition organized by Agora Gallery, New York, U.S.A., where I was among selected winners. I have also participated in an Online International Juried Symbolist Art Competition, where I was a selected finalist. In 2003 I participated on a big Surrealist exhibition entitled "Brave Destiny" in Williamsburg Art Center, in Brooklyn, New York, and together with Gail Potocki, Carol Quint and Ingo Swann we were awarded by the Price - "Choix de Juges”.
